The brushless motor EPS controller is an electronic device used to control the brushless motor to implement the functions of the electric power steering system (EPS). EPS is a power steering system that uses an electric motor to provide auxiliary torque. It can adjust the size and characteristics of the steering assist according to the driver's steering intention and the vehicle's driving status to improve steering comfort and safety. Brushless motor EPS controllers usually include the following parts: Microcontroller (MCU): Responsible for executing motor control algorithms, such as field-oriented control (FOC), and calculating the rotation direction of the motor based on inputs such as torque sensors, angle sensors, and vehicle speed signals. and optimal power assist torque, and output control signals to the power drive circuit. Power drive circuit: Responsible for driving the three-phase inverter bridge according to the control signal of the MCU to generate appropriate three-phase current to the brushless motor to achieve motor rotation and power assist output.Communication bus: Responsible for communicating with other vehicle control systems, such as receiving vehicle speed and other related information through the CAN or LIN bus, or sending fault diagnosis and functional safety signals, etc. System monitoring and protection circuit: Responsible for monitoring the working status of the entire controller, such as power supply voltage, current, temperature, etc., and detecting and handling possible faults, such as overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, short circuit, etc., to ensure the controller's Reliability and security.
