Distributed optical fiber vibration sensing system is a system that uses optical fiber as a sensor to sense and measure vibration in the environment in real time.

The system monitors the vibration of the fiber by applying a pulse of sound or light to the fiber and detecting the reflected signal in the fiber. Vibrations in optical fibers cause displacement and phase changes in light that can be analyzed and decoded by fiber optic measurement equipment to determine parameters such as the location, amplitude, and frequency of the vibrations.

1. Laser Source: Generates a high-intensity laser light source for transmission and excitation of vibrations in optical fibers.

3. Fiber Sensor: A sensor network composed of optical fibers for detecting and transmitting vibration signals.

4. Fiber Measurement Device: Used to receive, decode and analyze vibration signals in optical fibers. These devices can use a variety of measurement techniques, such as Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (OTDR) or Continuous Wave Reflectometry (Continuous Wave Reflectometry).
