High-intensity aviation obstruction light is a lighting facility used to mark high obstacles such as high-rise buildings, communication towers, large bridges, viaducts, chimneys, and thermal power stations. Its role is to guide low-flying aircraft to avoid obstacles and ensure aviation safety.
High-intensity aviation obstruction lights usually use LED lights, which have the characteristics of high brightness, strong durability, long life, and low energy consumption. According to different standards, there are requirements for the brightness, number of flashes and colors of high-intensity aviation obstruction lights. General buildings need to use red lights, while tall buildings such as communication towers and chimneys need to use white lights.
In the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization, high-intensity aviation obstruction lights are divided into three types: A, B, and C. Among them, type A has the highest brightness and the most flickering times, which is suitable for super high-rise buildings and peaks, large areas of mountains, snow mountains and other places. Type B lights have smaller brightness and fewer flashes, and are suitable for obstacles with a height of 150-300 meters. Type C is suitable for obstacles such as buildings with a height of about 45-150 meters.
