Stabilizers prevent premature degradation of the foam due to environmental factors, and fillers can be added to modify the foam's properties.
Polyurethane foam systems can be categorized into two main types:
Flexible foam systems: These systems produce soft, flexible foams used in applications such as mattresses, furniture cushions, automotive seating, and bedding.
Rigid foam systems: These systems produce rigid or semi-rigid foams used in applications such as insulation, construction panels, packaging, and flotation devices.
