Recombinant Human Thymosin Beta 4 Protein, also known as TB-500, is a synthetic version of a naturally occurring protein called thymosin beta 4. Thymosin beta 4 is found in most tissues of the body and has a variety of biological functions. TB-500 is created through the process of recombinant DNA technology, where the gene for thymosin beta 4 is inserted into a suitable expression system, such as bacteria or yeast. The expression system then produces large quantities of the protein, which can be purified and used for research, therapeutic, or investigational purposes. TB-500 has been studied for its potential therapeutic benefits in tissue repair and regeneration.
