A remote particle counter is a device for detecting and counting tiny particles in the air, which is capable of remotely monitoring and recording the number and size distribution of particles. It is usually used in environmental monitoring, indoor air quality monitoring, industrial fields and laboratories and other places. The operating principle of remote particle counters is based on the scattering or conduction properties of particles in air. It consists of one or more sensors and corresponding data acquisition and transmission systems. Sensors detect tiny particles in the air through scattered light, electronic sensing, or other means, and convert their number and size information into electrical signals. These electrical signals are processed and analyzed by the data acquisition and transmission system, which can display the number of particles, size distribution, concentration and other relevant parameters in real time. Usually, remote particle counters can transmit data to a central monitoring station or cloud server through network connection or other wireless communication methods for remote monitoring, data storage and analysis.
