Transit-time ultrasonic flowmeter is an instrument that uses ultrasonic technology to measure the flow of liquid or gas. It determines the velocity and flow rate of a fluid based on the velocity and time difference of sound waves propagating through the fluid.
Transit-time ultrasonic flow meters usually consist of two ultrasonic sensors, one as a transmitter and the other as a receiver.
