Synopsis
Wet biaxially stretched separator is a kind of lithium battery separator. It is made by mixing polyethylene (PE) and paraffin oil, heating and melting it to form a uniform mixture, then cooling it to phase separate, pressing it to obtain a diaphragm, and then the film is The sheet is stretched both vertically and horizontally to make the micropores on the separator nearly circular. Finally, solvent extraction is used to remove the residual paraffin oil, and a separator with an interconnected microporous structure is prepared. The advantages of the wet biaxially stretched separator are that it has small pore size, uniform distribution, good air permeability, and high mechanical strength, making it suitable for producing thinner separators. The disadvantage of wet biaxially stretched separators is that it has a high thermal shrinkage rate and requires heat treatment to reduce its dimensional stability.
