It has the characteristics of high purity, low oxygen content, low carbon content, high resistivity and low defect density. It is suitable for manufacturing high power and resistant products. High voltage semiconductor devices. The zone melting method is a method that utilizes zoned melting and crystallization of polycrystalline ingots to grow semiconductor crystals. It uses thermal energy to create a melting zone at one end of the semiconductor bar and then fuses the single crystal seed crystal. The temperature is adjusted so that the molten zone slowly moves to the other end of the rod, passing through the entire rod and growing into a single crystal with the same crystal orientation as the seed crystal. The zone melting method can use the segregation phenomenon to further purify the material and avoid crucible contamination, so it can prepare high-purity single crystal silicon.
